Grabbing video files from a card
Hi
I'm fresh with Mac and an old-user of Win, so ...
I film using a Sony camera which records on a memory card. When I inserted the card to a Win laptop, I could see a list of video files and could either import one/some/all to my PC using any software or could manually drag a file/files to any location I wished. From there I could copy them back to e.g. a stick.
When I first time inserted the card to my Mac, I saw one, big 1,4 Gb file in Finder, then I-Movie launched and all I could do was to import the video (all or selected). No option to view individual video files. Needless to say, no way to simply drag the file to a stick (prior or after importing), I have to import and then save the video to a file (a couple of minutes) and only then I can share it any way I want. Stone age technology!
Question: is there any app to view individual files on a card and process them as I used to do with my Win? Or is there a trick I should know to get to my point?
