My Mac Mini mid 2010 is getting old and slow and crashes frequently. In the marked to buy a new one. Would love to use my 2 old Samsung Syncmaster21 displays. They have a DVI-D and a VGA display connectors. Will this work to run both of those monitors?
Also, which oldest system software will the new Minis run? trying to use some old software...

The oldest operating system that any new Mac can run natively is
the one that has shipped with the machine, typically.
The only way around this by creating a "virtual machine" using something
like Parallels Desktop for Mac, VMware Fusion, or Virtual box. Depending
on the apps, this may provide enough performance.
The current Mac Minis have the same types of ports as a 2010 Mac Mini except for the Firewire port, so the monitors should continue to work the way you have been using them with the same adapters from the HDMI port or the Mini Display/Thunderbolt 2 ports.
Yes. The Thunderbolt 2 ports are the same shape and size as the Mini Display port, and carry the Mini Display port signal.
So the 2nd monitor that is hooked up to the old Mini Display Port I would now hook up to the Thunderbolt port?
Does the old Mini Display Port adapter fit into the Thunderbolt port?
