Apple music on Android - Family Sharing

I've recently moved from an iPhone to an android. I had apple music on part of the family plan, which a relative pays for. I though I would just be able to sign in on my android phone and it would work the same, but it keeps asking for the two factor code and says its been sent to my apple device. Obviously I don't have access to this phone anymore and when I recovered my account (due to forgetting the password) on my desktop it allowed me to change the way in which a code was sent e.g. to the number not the phone. Is there anyway I can access apple music family sharing? Or am I not going to be able to this without any access to apple products? As i really don't want to have to purchase a separate subscription to my family, when I was already previously on it?

If anyone has any ideas or could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello mollyfromsolihull,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to sign into Apple Music on your Android phone, as you're not getting the verification code for two-factor authentication on your Apple ID account. To help with your situation, please go to appleid.apple.com and manage the trusted phone number so you can get a text or phone number with this verification code with these steps:

Keep your trusted phone numbers up to date

To use two-factor authentication, you need at least one trusted phone number on file where you can receive verification codes. Consider verifying an additional trusted phone number other than your own phone number. If your iPhone is your only trusted device and it is missing or damaged, you will be unable to receive verification codes required to access your account.

You can update your trusted phone numbers when you follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Go to the Security section and click Edit.

If you want to add a phone number, click Add a Trusted Phone Number and enter the phone number. Choose to verify the number with a text message or automated phone call, and click Continue. To remove a trusted phone number, click User uploaded file next to the phone number you want to remove.

Cheers!
