Hi my hubby had a samsung Galaxy A50phone that was replaced just under warrenty. He had access to apple music through our joint account. When I download the apple music app onto his replacement phone, it now says to we have to sign up with optus? We already have an apple ID but it doesnt give you a choice to enter it to sign in? can anyone advise what we can do, to get his apple music on his new samsung Galaxy A50 phone?

Hi MusicSamsung,

Thank you for posting! I'd want to make sure I was able to access my Apple Music subscription as well. I see you have a new Samsung device and want to sign in again to use Apple Music. I have a link that should help you out.

The steps below are from the resource titled Join Apple Music on Android:

"If you already subscribe to Apple Music

  1. Get the Apple Music app from Google Play,
  2. Open the Apple Music app.
  3. If you see an offer for a trial, tap Sign In in the upper-right corner. Or tap the menu button , then tap Sign In.
  4. Enter the same Apple ID and password that you use with Apple Music.

If you're asked for a verification code, you have two-factor authentication on your Apple ID. Learn about two-factor authentication and what to do if you still can't sign in."

This should get you set up. Feel free to reply back with any questions.

Have a good day.

Thank you that worked! I was nervous about pressing the 'trial' because I didn't want to get signed up twice on a family subscription. But then it asked for my apple ID which I put in, it then recognized the account and downloaded the music library! Fantastic, thank you for helping me. I would be much simpler if when you downloaded the apple music app there was a question asking straight up if you want to sign in using your apple ID, perhaps they'll think of this in their next upgrade :)
