How do I get my songs back if it won’t let me download them?

I downloaded two songs two days ago and I was listening to them in my phone. Last night, I updated my phone and when I went to listen to them, they weren’t there. I went on the iTunes Store to try to Redownload them, but they wouldn’t download. It gives me the price of the song, but when I try to purchase it again, it tells me i already have it downloaded, but doesn’t download. I have the receipt for my purchase.

The iTunes Store app has a ‘Purchased’ option at the bottom, where you can see past purchases and download that purchased content again.

Did you do anything with the Screen Time/Restrictions/Parental Controls settings?

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Settings﹥Screen Time

If so, that could interfere with what the device allow you to do.
