poor cell reception on iphone xs max

Does anyone know if Apple is going to come up with a fix for this issue? I have been on the phone with support since I got the phone September 21st. They even sent a new phone, which was NOT restored from a backup, and the problem persists. In areas where I normally have good cell reception, I don't any more. I can literally watch the bars disappear.....

This is just ridiculous.....

I am experiencing the same issue with my iPhone XS Max on the Verizon network. Reception Bars are going up and down all the time - at home, at the office and on the road - which tells me that it's a software issue. Sometimes a hard reset does the trick, sometimes switching in and out of airplane mode, and sometimes it's just rock solid 4 Bars all the time. If it was the new antenna or new Intel Modem, I would not be experiencing this inconsistency with cell reception and more users would be experiencing this same issue too - and they're not. I'm hoping that iOS 12.1 does the trick, so we shall see this week after tomorrow's NYC Apple event when Apple will release the updates to iOS 12 and macOS Mojave 14.

Apple Phones are normally the best......but usually after release there are some bugs. I would not let them close your support case.....keep it open.... there is definitely something wrong they just don’t how yet if it’s a software issue or a hardware issue. I personally think it’s the antenna.....I won’t allow my senior advisor to close my case.....too many dropped calls, and such bad cell reception......never had this issue with my iPhone 8+, so I know it’s not normal. Call Apple Support and tell them you went to the Apple Store but your phone still isn’t right. they will give you a case number......and ask them to run diagnostics and do some work with your phone. Don’t give up until they make it right.
