My iPhone XR issue with severe battery drain and Face ID not working probably related to some component part becoming faulty. Problem didn’t resolve with restore etc. Had to return and get new device. Luckily new iPhone XR working perfectly.
In my humble opinion Apple knows full well what their update will do. This is to get you to scrap your old phone and buy a new one. I'm having the same issue, this is the second time they have pulled this trick on end users.
From the starting of ios 12 series versions facing a issue of battery draining very fast infect app refresh and locations all background activity off but phone still draining battery 1% in every minute.. i charged my phone 100% at night then my battery 0n 70% at 7AM on flight mode...i hope Apple know this issue but not resolving to push end users for new iphone but i am poor man i can upgrade from iphone 6 :-(
My humble request to Apple please resolved this issues.
carlo6070,
Sorry to hear that you too are having the same problem as the rest of us. These abrupt battery drain issues have been confirmed in 6, 6s, SE, and 7.
If even 10% of we owners buy a new crazy-expensive iPhone to “avoid” this problem they’ve created (but for how long?!), and the other 90% of us switch brands, that’s still a ton of iPhone sales they otherwise wouldn’t have without this battery issue. In other words, they still win by making us get rid of perfectly good phones. So either of your proposed solutions don’t entirely help you. Instead, what if every single one of us 6, 6s, SE, and 7 users experiencing this problem scheduled an appointment with the Genius Bar and didn’t stop pushing the matter until they resolve this “known issue” and “confirmed issue” they’ve created by their software?! We’d flood their stores and they’d be required to address the issue — as has been demonstrated in the past.
That’s the only “win” for us. Even though the phones are out of the timeframe for Apple Care service, Apple has provided new phones to users who have a “known/confirmed” issue in the past, and if it’s common enough in their Genius Bars, they’ll be forced to deal with it.
My phone after 12.1.1 update phone charge is getting reduced soon and putting charge often
