iPhone says no service

There’s a notification that pops up on my phone saying I’m not able to make or receive text or phone calls because I haven’t updated my phone. But I checked and it says that my software is up to date. I just need to know how to fix this. I’ve already tried taking the SIM card out worked for the day. Changed my networks setting worked for a few hours. I’m just desperate on what to do.
