text messege oddity...?
Why is it- when I send a text to someone- I do not receive a response in that same text --I received a new text with their response.

It could be that they have changed their iMessages settings to be contacted at (and send from) their email address rather than phone number (iMessaging will allow that). This might be by accident, or intentional (since this technique seems to help those who have been sharing an Apple ID in the past). Just a theory though ...
