Extended Number Pad not working on IMAC

I suffered with this problem for months with my BT Logitech Keyboard. The numbers do not work but the * - + do work. After web searching I replaced my keyboard thinking that somehow it go corrupted in the MACOS. The new keyboard failed in the same way.

Then I found this fix; Hope it helps someone.

Mouse Keys will affect the operation of your number pad. If you are having troubles try turning off "Mouse Keys" feature.

Here's how to turn off Mouse Keys:

  1. First try to press the Option/Alt key five times. This is a common shortcut for turning mouse keys On and Off
  2. Open System Preferences > Accessibility
  3. Choose Mouse & TrackPad
  4. Deselect Enable Mouse Keys
  5. Click Options
  6. Deselect Press The Option Key Five Times to Toggle Mouse Keys
  7. Click OK

Yeah, Mouse Keys takes over the number pad so that each number is assigned to a pointer movement rather than a number input. The other thing you'll want to check (if the number pad is not working) is the toggle key that turns the number pad on and off. It's usually called NUM LOCK.
