Pages for iPhone: phonetic guide for Japanese text

Hello! Apologies if the question below doesn’t fit into this group; I have searched for a community dedicated to Page for iPhone and found none, so I thought “education” might be a close match.

I’ve just found that I can no longer add a phonetic guide to Japanese text (furigana) using Pages on my iPhone 6 running on iOS 12.0.1. That useful feature has apparently disappeared after the most recent iOS updates. My older Pages files still show the furigana that I had added earlier on, about a month ago, but I can’t edit them anymore. Can anyone help?

Thank you. What I see on my iPhone screen is that the Phonetics tab is missing. In the past, I used to tap three times on the small right-pointing arrow and the Phonetics tab would appear. It no longer does. I’ll try to post screenshots. Thank you.

It still works ok on my iPad, and an iPhone should be the same. What do you see instead of the picture below?
