transfer music from ipad to non apple mp3 player usb

I recently purchased a non-Apple MP3 Player which requires and only has USB, which my Acer Chromebook has USB ports, but I want to transfer some of my music and/or copies thereof from my iPad Air 2 onto the very compact MP3 player here in the UK, which would be a more practical option for me when travelling by overnight coach and sail from the UK to Ireland - most of my music was (not) purchased via iTunes Store, just the Music App already on my iPad - can anyone give me any advice, as I think that some of it may be in the i-cloud, as I have a monthly music subscription and I can listen to music on my iPad when offline, even with the newest iOS 12 updates

You can't transfer music directly from the iPad to the MP3 player (you wouldn't be able to even it was an iPod or another iPad etc.).

And if it's Apple Music downloads you won't be able to play it on the MP3 player anyway, those downloads are tied to your iTunes account and Apple Music subscription, so can only be played on iOS devices, computers iTunes, and the Apple Music app on android devices.
