I have 40gb of music on my windows 10 laptop. I want to simply transfer it all to my 256gb IPad Air 4, and listen to it at any time, with or without internet access. It seems to be impossible. Can anyone suggest how?

How do I transfer all my music from a Windows 10 laptop to my IPad Air 4 in such a way that I can listen to it whenever I want to, regardless of access to internet. I do not want to have to subscribe to Apple Music to achieve this

iPad Air, iPadOS 14

  1. Install iTunes onto your computer
  2. add the music that is on your computer to your iTunes Library
  3. connect iPad to computer and wait for iTunes to recognise it
  4. the first time you connect the iPad to this computer, you need to choose and set sync options for the iPad. I assume that one option will be to sync your entire music library, if you have space on your iPad. If you do not, ask here for a solution
  5. after setting or changing Sync options, click on Sync (or Apply) and wait for sync to complete
  6. safety disconnect iPad from iTunes
  7. that's it
