Numbers on iPad - date formats automatically includes time! Which I don't need!

Numbers on iPad (couldn't find a discussion group for iPad users only for the Mac but I'm hoping this will get me closer to a solution).

There's no option to format for dates ONLY. It appears Numbers default format includes the time (although it shows as 12:00AM) in each entry. I'm entering old accounting info so I only need the dates and not the time. How do I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

You can hide the time so it doesn't display by tapping 'None' under TIME in the Format > Date & Time dropdown.

If you want, you can also enter the dates as text. Just enter a ' before entering the date and Numbers will recognize your data as text. Or preformat the cells as Text.

If you enter the dates as text, Numbers will still be able to perform date arithmetic.

There is a single iWork for iOS forum, not individual forums for each of the iWork apps for iOS. I submitted a request to the hosts to move your topic to that forum which they have done.
