I have never seen this app open as a device before in Finder? Could someone please explain what it is doing there and if I need to be concerned at all. Can I eject it?

I had the same device, RecoveryHDMeta, mount today on my desktop; trying to understand why it appeared all of a sudden. I have a mac mini that is terribly slow and constantly having issues with loading programs - I get an “application not responding” several times daily. Could this be related? Thanks for any insight provided.
