When to buy AppleCare+ plan

Hi,

I bought my Macbook pro in Nov 2017, so the standard 1 year warranty expires in Nov 2018.

Can I buy AppleCare+ plan now (before 1-year warranty expires) ?

Information on this is not clear as some forums state that an AppleCare+ plan can only be added while purchasing the device or till 60 days from the purchase date.

Please help.

Apple Care Plus must be purchased within the first 60 days of ownership. The older (maybe no longer available) Apple Care can be purchased within th first year, as per this quote:

You must purchase and register the Plan while your Covered Equipment is within Apple’s One Year Limited warranty. Apple is not obligated to renew this Plan. If Apple does offer a renewal, it will determine the price and terms.”
