I have 2 Barclay iTunes gift cards for rewards on my purchases that I cannot redeem

I have 2 Barclay iTunes gift cards for rewards on my purchases. I have attempted to redeem these in my phone, iPad & computer and keep getting error that they are invalid. I have entered the codes manually and tried the camera on all devices. maybe I am missing something but this is starting to look like a scam.. what is the issue.
