the recent upgrade has taken away the control of sound through the double click of the home button. I have a broken volume button so used this function which Apple chose to remove without advice. They Tell you the changes but forget to tell the negatives. So is there any alternative way to use volume control. Can i remove the recent upgrade? Any help please

iOS12 has changed some of the swipe gestures.
For iOS11, swipe-up from the bottom of the screen - or tapping the home button twice - reveals the Task Switcher AND the Control Centre that includes a Volume Control.
iOS12, swipe-up from the bottom of the screen (with a brief pause at the top of the upward swipe) - or tapping the home button twice - still reveals the Task Switcher. To access the Control Centre, you need to swipe-down from the top right of the screen.

thank you but what it said in incorrect for update 12.01 the home button no longer shows anything more than previous screens. The volume control has gone. Swiping the screen is also of no value. Either from top or bottom
