my eos canon camera utility will not work with mojave.

I talked to Canon Hungary about this issue. They know about it, and Canon is working on the update. Suggested workaround until the new version will be released: Don’t disconnect the WiFi in the camera until you not quit from EOS Utility 3.9. After you quit from the app, you can disconnect in the camera. If you disconnect in the camera, and the app is still running, then the app freezes, and you cannot connect again.

I tested it and it seems to working on Mojave.

You can dowload the new 3.10 version from Canon USA website. This works perfectly ön Mojave.

Although Canon lists the Digital Photo Professional v4.9.20 software for the EOS 50d on High Sierra, it was released early in Oct 2018, and may actually work with Mojave. All of the other currently listed sofware are earlier versions of this software, or other software released too early for assured compatibility with Mojave.

I wish I'd seen this earlier. I "upgraded" to Mohave on my MacbookPro over the weekend. I have a photoshoot coming up and was trying out my gear. I can wifi-connect my Canon with the Mac, and I can open EOS Utility 3 - it works normally up till the point where I have to turn off my camera (eg change lenses or change camera battery). When I start up again, EOS Utility 3 won't open. I force quit - and still can't re-open. I've tried several times, shutting it down differently - no luck. I have to totally reboot the Mac which is no solution if I'm trying to work and pay for model and studio.

I have the exact same problem with my Canon 1300D... Does anyone know any other software to download the pictures from my canon to my Mac, because the canon software from high Sierra doesn't work anymore...

It's very annoying about canon doesn't update this software. I hope more canon user will ask the solution to Canon assistant.

I would like an update yesterday, Certainly a lot sooner than current eta that is non existent. State of the Cameras that have not the software to match sad times..

Image Capture. Connect your usb to both the camera and the Mac with the Camera off >> Open Image Capture >> turn on the camera >> Import from the RAW/JPEG to a file you choose.
