Sony Bluetooth headphones. When my phone plugs into my suburban to charge my sounds like texts are muted somehow. I’m guessing that why my headphones don’t have sound but how can I avoid this. I can’t use my wired headphones because the charging is using my Jack
Sounds like the vehicle is taking control of the phone. Does your vehicle have Bluetooth? Are you expecting to hear text sounds in the headphones? Is this something that just happened, or has it always been this way? What year Suburban is this?
2015, it use to work with my Bluetooth headphones, I feel like it’s an Apple update. I even tried to make my phone forget the suburban as a device in Bluetooth settings. Yes the usb connection tries to mute my phone from receiving texts. I wish I could turn that feature off? Don’t know hiw
It is very possible that the headphones or the vehicle are not working well with the latest iOS update. I'd be wary of the vehicle. You can check with Chevrolet and see if the radios set it your vehicle supports the latest iOS update. That is up to them to do. The text muting may also be due to Do Not Disturb while Driving. The combination of plugging the phone into a USB port, and connecting to both the vehicle and your headphones could also be causing the problems. The vehicle isn't sure what to do, and so something has to suffer.
What headphones are you referring to? Do you mean connecting lightning EarPods? If that is the case, then you need an adapter.
