I am having issues with my iPhone XS Max and the screen looking yellow. I’m not sure if it’s just the phone I have or if this is something going on with all the iPhones.
Do you think it’s just the phone that I have? I was already thinking about taking it back to the store and getting a new one but I wasn’t sure if it was just my phone doing this or all the other phones as well.
Hi Giovannidgaf! Is "Night Shift" maybe turned on? Go to Settings > Display & Brightness and tap on "Night Shift". It might be ON and the colour temperature set to maximum (warmest).
I haven't heard or read about this being an issue with the new XS and XS Max iPhones, and if Night Shift isn't causing the yellowishness I would take it back to where you got it and get a replacement. Good luck! Regards, Ian.
There are lots of threads here about this issue for several models going back to the iPhone 7, and for recent iPads. If you search them, you may find something that works for you, but many end up saying that it's just a variation. Some people have fiddled with settings for hours and/or returned 3 or 4 phones without resolving the issue.
I have night shift and True Tone both turned off. My screen still looks yellow. When tilt the screen about 20% it looks perfect. But when I’m looking at it regular it still has that yellow color to it.
Sorry nothing helped you! As your phone is new and still under warranty I would take it back to where you boght it and ask for a replacement. A yellowish screen on such an expensive device is simply not acceptable! Hope you can get things sorted out quickly! Ian.
I would also try turning True Tone off.
the only thing I have ever observed True Tone do is turn the screen yellow.

Yes, quite...I forgot about True Tone 😊 !
The same yellowish tint on xsm. Compared with about 20 other xsm and xs and all had the same yellow gate. Worst displays I ever seen.
