After unlocking trackpad click doesn't work

On the last three occasions I've unlocked my computer, I've needed to restart as it will not respond to clicks on the trackpad. Gestures work fine, just no clicks (so can't do anything).

Worked fine after a restart - until it locked.

Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), macOS Mojave (10.14)

No Mouse is working on my iMac. No Mouse is working on my iMac. I can turn on my machine and it goes to the login screen. I can swirl the cursor around using my mouse but clicking on anything does not work so I can't sign in. I've tried 2 different plug-ins and one trackpad. All have same result. I've tried restarting in safe mode, and also in restore mode. All the same.

Trackpad doesn't select I have a new Macbrook Pro and twice the trackpad has stopped. The cursor moves and tracks but it wont click or select so nothing opens and I cannot move windows around. The first time it suddenly came back to life The day of my Genius bar appt. so I didn't take it in. The laptop keyboard and Logitech keyboard works fine, but the MX mouse also only moves the cursor around like the trackpad and won't execute any commands when I tap it. So wouldn't you think this is a software issue? If so, couldn't it be fixed online rather than in person? Thanks!
