Scam?

1-800-275-2273 called twice today. A recording says my AppleID has been compromised and not to use any apple devices until I speak with an apple support representative. They want me to push 1 to speak to a representative. I have not.

Is this a scam?

Apple ID has been compromised?? Hello! Yesterday I got call from the number 800-275-2273, they says my Apple ID has been compromised and not to make any purchases with my ID until I have talked to the Apple technician. Then they began to require my email address and password in order to resume normal operation of my account! Then I saw m.phonecall.club/18002752273 that some Lisa was complaining about this phone number, but I’m not sure if this is really a scam ... is this really from Apple support or a scam? 😐

Apple Icloud scam call I received a call on my iPhone, the caller ID said Apple Inc. I answered and the robo voice said my icloud account has been breached, and to press 1 and remain on the line. I pressed 1 and a person came on. He said he said he was from Apple support. I just listened, I thought it may be a scam, as Apple never calls. The person knew my name and said my account was breached. I was quiet, and he eventually hung up. After her hung up, I looked at the caller ID and it identified the caller as Apple Inc. I redialed the number and it called Apple Support --> 1 877-412-***3. I looked up the number on the net and one webpage said it's a scam number. How can the scammers know my name and number. I never use this number. And they use Apple's support number to show that it came from Apple Inc? [Edited by Moderator]

Yes, any such call will be a scam.

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
