Moonrise/moon set complication for Apple Watch Series 4 Inoperative

Initially the complication displayed correctly but failed to auto-update. I’m assuming that it should function like the sunrise/sunset complication. After a week of manual updating the time information stopped appearing altogethe, basically leaving only an image of the moon. Unpairing and pairing several times failed to rectify the fault.
