How to delete documents on iCloud drive

I recently deleted all my documents from iCloud drive on my MacBook Pro. When I came back and checked the storage it still appears there as if the files weren't deleted. I would like to clear my storage but with this issue I can't do that.

How can I delete all my documents from iCloud drive for good?
