Yahoo!Mail Junk Mail/Scam Emails

Please help.....

I have an Apple 5S iPhone and MacBookAir and have been receiving a lot of junk mail on my Yahoo Mail account. I keep forwarding them to JUNK but 2 recent ones I recieved stated my password and a threat to send what sounded like "questionable" material to my contacts (I don't have any material on the internet that would be harmful....unless someone made it up) if I didn't contact them for an arrangement. The one I received today made it look like it was coming from Yahoo!Mail and that they would deactivate my account if I didn't respond.

Any advice on how to handle this and future barrage of junk mail on my Yahoo!Mail account would be greatly appreciated.

There isn't much you can do - the only way would be to abandon your email account and create a new one which has a very difficult password. You could also create another account which you will then only share with friends, etc. to keep the current one as a "catchall" for junk. Yahoo does not screen junk mail very well; you can add the sender to your blocked list, but scammers rarely use the same email address for more than a day or two.
