How to turn off latest Java update message?

I updated my MAC MINI to Mojave this morning. I started seeing a message box telling me to update JAVA to the latest version which I did more than once. I restarted the MINI and Chrome and still see this message . How do I turn it off or fix it?

Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12.3)

Thank you Sterling for your prompt reply. I ended up downloading a previous version (javaforosx.dmg) that seems to have worked. I ended up doing this after the last system update from Apple. It seems that this problem is a result of my using Google Chrome as my primary browser. Thanks again for your assistamce. - Jack .-)
