Two factor authentication error

I am using Mac OS Mojave 10.14 , when I open system preferences - iCloud an error is shown two factor authentication protect your Apple ID and iCloud data with an extra layer of security how to remove this error , and why did it occurred .

In the first screen shot there is a continue button , click on it .

After that a window appears click the last option , and click on not now and continue the error will go away .

No one is pushing to use 2FA as its personal choice to use secondary authentication , it occurred as I signed out and again signed from iCloud account an error might have occurred due to slow network connections / glitches .
