So my camera glass cracked but I didn’t drop my iPhone X. It was cold outside so maybe the difference of temperature cracked the glass. I can’t find any other reason for the glass to break. I went to an apple store and they only offered me to replace the device for 719$ because I didn’t have apple care +. Does someone know anything about this ? Is this a common problem?
To answer your question, no that is not common for iPhone X, but it's also not rare. Apple chooses to not offer this repair, but there are plenty of other options out there. Some of the more experienced independent repair shops will be able to punch out the rear glass and replace it as a straightforward repair. I would expect the cost for rear camera glass replacement to be far far less than $719
