Canon Pixma MG5620 printer/scanner - scanner not showing: macOS Mojave

I'm on late 2013 iMac 21.5, macOS Mojave.

My printer/scanner is Canon Pixma 5620. I have downloaded all the latest drivers for Mojave compatibility.

Trying to scan a document to my Mac. The problem is I can only see the printer, and not the scanner.

In the screenshot on the bottom it says "Canon MG5600 Bonjour Multifunction".

(I do not know how that got there-it was never there before.)

What am I missing? I've done this many times but never in Mojave. Thanks.

Figured the work around. Never did this way before.

I opened the Finder - then >Go (in the menu bar) > Applications> double click on >Image Capture.

Next, I clicked my printer name in devices and share list and automatically it said "waiting for scanner" and then "Scanner is warming up" .

Then the window with what I needed scanned appeared and I was able to complete my task.
