Apple Watch S4 Stainless Steel Scratches Easily?

Got the Apple watch S/S S4 model with Milanese strap. After 4 days of normal use (no hard knocks or heavy lifting as I was travelling at that time, I was very careful as it was a new watch), i discovered some scratches. I thought the sapphire crystal glass wouldn't scratch so easily as i have owned a few watches with sapphire crystal glass. Is anyone experiencing this? How can the sapphire crystal glass get the scratches so easily? I saw this article from reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/9ii3q4/micro_scratches_on_ss_s4_aft er_3_days_on_display/). Is this true that the Ion-X Aluminium glass is better to withstand scratches compared to the sapphire crystal glass?

Contacted Apple, they told me to bring it back to USA Apple Store, but that was impossible as I was travelling and bought the Apple Watch there. The nearest Apple Store to me is Singapore Apple Store. They told me that the hardware for Apple products supplied to USA market were different from the rest of the world. Is this true?
