superdrive doesn't work with new MacBook Pro

My new Mac Book Pro doesn't seem to work my new apple superdrive.

Hi weekendflings! Check this article to see if your configuration is supported. If you are using a MacBook Pro with a USB-C port, make sure you are using a first-party adapter. Check this article here.

USB SuperDrive does not work on my MacBook Air. I just purchased a new Mac Book Air about 2 months ago. The usb SuperDrive I bought it last year and It worked fine with my old Mac Book Air. I am using a usb hub Belkin. I know the Hub works as I have an external drive connected to it and I see the drive when I view it on finder.
