My boyfriend washed his old iphone and it didn't like it so he has a new number! I need to text a pile of people to let them know. If I add them to a group text does everyone see all the numbers in the group, I don't want to breach anyone's privacy.

Yes everyone will see each other phone number in a group text.
Not necessarily. If all the people you are texting have iPhones and use iMessage, then yes they will see each others numbers. If some people don't have iPhones or don't use iMessage, then no, the text will show as a group chat to you, but will send to everybody individually.

Then that is called MMS, group text to non iphone user, which you will still see everyone's phone number.
