I want to know if I used IBook author to print a poetry book if I can also have hard copies, print on demand services. I also want to know if I can have a physical hard copy to proofread before it’s published or if I would have to just print the ePub or PDF format?
iBooks author is for producing ebooks in the .ibooks or .epub format. Apple also does not print anything. If you want a printed version of your book, you would have to do it yourself from your machine or find a company that does that and send them the file in the format they require.
I think for producing print books most people would use Word or Pages or something similar.
Keep in mind that you can only export or save as PDF if you use a multi-touch template. You can’t save as, expiry or print to PDF if you use ePub template.
If you need ePub format and need PDF, you may instead consider using Pages, which will give you both.
