OS X cannot be installed on disk "untitled"

Problem --- After a series of failed boot camp installs, disk checks, first aid, and more ... I am trying to do a full bare metal install of OS X. In desperation I attempted to do a full install of Windows 10, so any MACOS artifacts on the HD (recovery partitions, etc.) are long gone. After booting using <CMD> R and attempting an over the air install, it stalls on the above error message.

Solution --- A friend is going to download the latest MACOS image 10.14 for me, which is what my MacBook Pro was running prior to the disaster. Hopefully I can boot using that and get my MacBook Pro back to an Apple imagined configuration. After which I may attempt a Boot Camp install again.

Does anyone know a better option than the solution I describe above? Is there a more straightforward way to remedy the "disk untitled" error?

Thanks all.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS Mojave (10.14), Reinstall Win10 under bootcamp
