How do I sort my Safari bookmarks alphabetically?
Why is this so unintuitive and clumsy, Apple?
TIA

Sort bookmarks
Safari 11 and Safari 12
Section: Rearrange or sort bookmarks
" Control-click the folder in the sidebar,
then choose Sort By > Name or Sort By > Address. Address is the website URL.”
Note: You will have to sort one folder at a time.
At present there is no way to sort all bookmarks folders at once.

Safari Bookmarks sort, for those running Snow Leopard OS or later versions of OS X there is SafariSort:
Sorting folders has to be done manually by dragging and dropping.
Safari doesn't provide an automatic sorting folders option at present unfortunately.
