Gmail Folders Removed

Hello Anyone,

At the latest IOS 12.1 update on my iPad Pro 12.9” 2nd gen 2017 all my Gmail accounts folders that I had created in the Apple native mail app which is my only mail app were emptied out and I need some instructions on how to get them back. This is the first time this has happened in an update. Now I am wondering if I would be better to use the native google native gmail app.

Hello lbkclb and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand from your post after the latest iOS update your Gmail folders are missing. I can help with that.

Try deleting the Gmail account and re-adding it.
Create or delete mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
