New update seems to have a problem

Recently I posted a question about documents freezing up iBooks when downloaded. I found the fix and presumed that it was a corrupt file or corrupt dowload. Not so sure now. the problem occurred for the first time after I updated to ios12.0.1 and has reoccurred mulitple times since. Almost every other document I’ve downloaded has frozen. They have originated from multiple sources but the freeze always follows the same pattern. The fix works BUT once I unfreeze the app, the document is fine. I don’t need to delete it. I can open it, close it move it, read it etc without the freeze reoccurring. Given these facts and, since this has never occurred before, I now believe this to be a problem with the update not the download or the file. Hey Apple you need to check your iOS update - there seems to be an issue here.
