Is there a way to take white border away from PIP or split screen?

I’m using iPad. I’ve started project in Create Movie. When I check theme it is ‘Simple’ I did not choose a theme.

I only have the option to create a movie or trailer.

I read one post that said there is no border if you don’t choose a theme. I have a border no matter what I do. I’ve tried for hours to figure out.
