how to go back to High Sierra after installing Mojave

After upgrading from os 10.13 High Sierra to os 10.14 Mojave, I can't open my Photoshop CS3. I get a message that says I need to install a Java for osx download. That download won't install, I get another message that says can't install due to invalid checksum. I would like to go back to High Sierra where I had no problems opening or running Photoshop CS3. Please help, I have work to finish in Photoshop.

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

Should always check to see if third party apps are going to work before you upgrade your Macs OS.

When you try to launch Photoshop CS3 does it ask you to install the legacy Java 6 Runtime if so you can download it from here, https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US once downloaded double-click to install. If that is what you already tried you will need to restore High Sierra from the back up you made prior to upgrading to Mojave.

If you can't restore from a Time Machine backup you can try Internet Recovery.

If you want to download High Sierra so you can make a bootable USB click here, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208969 scroll down to section 4 for a link to the download. How to create a bootable USB, https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201372

If you were to reinstall from a bootable installer you will need to back up your Mac, boot to the USB installer, erase your hard drive, install High Sierra and then use Time Machine to restore your files and Applications.
