all my pictures look like a smoothing filter has been applied, especially in selfies. the camera is advertised as the best part of this phone and is the main reason why i got it, but the pictures look like they were taken on an iphone 4 and have no detail.
I just got the Xs and the Xs Max on 11/26/2018 and all of the photos my wife and I have taken have been blurry. I updated them to 12.1 but still, the photos are blurry on both the front and the back cameras. The photos are nowhere "showstoppers" as stated on Apple's website. The quality of photos coming out of these phones are very poor, almost to the quality of my old Razor phone. The software really needs to be fixed.
exactly. the pictures look like they have an airbrush filter on them and this makes them blurry and low quality. there should be a feature to turn this off
I revived the iPhone XS Max as a Christmas gift and have decided to switch it in for an 8 plus because of the camera and how I use it all the time and it was really disappointing and I had much higher expectations of this phone for it costing nearly £2000
12.1.2 - worse thing is / me and my partner both have the iPhone XS Max and my daughter has the Xs and they all have this issue! - hate using filters and the whole point of getting this phone was because of the amazing camera (lol) - clearly we’ve been duped

Well am still hangin On apparently apple Genius Bar aren’t even aware that there is an issue! A software update can fix so people start reporting 🤔

Exact same problem. I use my phone camera all day long for pictures and this has caused me so much grief. And the phone drops almost every call incoming or outgoing with min 10 seconds.
