Apple wallet verification

So i finally decided to set up my apple wallet with some of my credit cards but i encountered the problem that it was really easy to load up my cards in the wallet. It never asked me how i wanted to verify my identity via text, email, or phone call from the bank. So im a bit concerned now. Any thoughts on this?

why is the verification number different than my apple id I am trying to add a card to my apple wallet and I need to verify with my phone number but the auto-filled number is not mine and I can't change it.
