How can I create a table in Numbers that is connected to another one?

Hi,

to come around the problem of the inexisting dynamic Pop-Up Menu in Numbers, so that I can show a certain Pop-Up Menu based on a previous drop menu I selected.

I thought I could create several new tables identical to the main one, filter down the rows only with a certain selection of the first Pop-Up Menu, and then create a new column with a specific drop menu for each different table.

So if in the main table I selected "food" from the Pop-Up Menu, in the new table, which will be filtered for only rows that contain "food", I can create another Pop-Up Menu (restaurant, bar, grocery...). Likewise, if I had selected "entertainment", I'd go to a new table with a different Pop-Up Menu.

The problem is that I'd like the secondary tables to show automatically the rows I add in the main one, without having to copy and paste every time.

Thanks,

Edo

I was just trying to give a solution for this missing feature. All I need to make it work is, as I said, the possibility of creating a second table that would be connected to the main one. So that if I add something in the main one, it is automatically added to the secondary too.

Should I make another discussion with just this problem? I just discussed about the dynamic Pop-Ups to help other people with the same question find this discussion.
