Can someone erase their messages on my phone remotely?

I discovered that a crucial message from a family member had "disappeared" in my list of messages. Is it possible they could've done this remotely?

I discovered this when I went back to find the contact information in a message she sent me for someone and realized it was missing along with previous message history. The message I was looking to retrieve with the contact information was sent to me and later deleted without being in her presence. I am not as worried about the messages getting deleted as I am worried about having my privacy invaded and I want to know how I can find out more evidence of what she did before confronting her. We do share links from time to time especially when we run into something interesting that we want to share with the other so I am suspecting she got help to do this via a link because she never has access to my phone without me being present and whenever I stepped away at work my phone is usually locked. Is this possible and can apple help me to figure it out? thanks for any help.

Remotely delete messages on ONE device I would like to only delete messages from one device, remotely. For example, if my ipad was left somewhere and I needed to erase the messages only, just from the Ipad/device left behind, how is that done. If it cannot be done, can your techs please come up with a way? The device has nothing on it I want to lose, like pictures, but the messages contain trade secrets. Or maybe I don't want a complete factory reset because it would be super noticeable on the other end when the Ipad starts flashing HI on the set up screen in 30 languages.
