Would the new MacBook Air be a viable upgrade to my early 2011 15” MacBook Pro?

I plan to keep the 2011 for mass storage and access to the SuperDrive, but it’s not supported by macOS Mojave and I’ve already upgraded it almost to the maximum of its potential. It’s really not capable of daily use anymore but would it be an upgrade to move from the pro line to the Air line?

As mentioned it would depend on what exactly your daily use entails.

The MacBook Air will undoubtedly be an upgrade from a 2011 MacBook Pro. Whether its enough for your needs however only you can determine.

I do basic computer repairs and upgrades, (mostly windows laptops) I don’t do a lot of high intensity stuff and the old MacBook Pro is just getting long in the tooth. It was a pawn shop special when I bought it, as was my wife’s 2015 11” MacBook Air.
