As mentioned it would depend on what exactly your daily use entails.
The MacBook Air will undoubtedly be an upgrade from a 2011 MacBook Pro. Whether its enough for your needs however only you can determine.
I do basic computer repairs and upgrades, (mostly windows laptops) I don’t do a lot of high intensity stuff and the old MacBook Pro is just getting long in the tooth. It was a pawn shop special when I bought it, as was my wife’s 2015 11” MacBook Air.
I think so ... depending on your personal needs.
Stop by an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Retailer to view a new MacBook Air in action.
Then its likely the new MacBook Air will work fine for you.
