Launchport AP.5 and iPad battery problem

I have two wall mounted Launchport units with iPad mini's used to monitor cameras and control my home systems. A couple of months ago, I noticed yellow areas on the top and bottom of one of the iPad screens. As others have commented, I took the iPad out of the Launchport unit and the screen was bowed and the iPad screen separated from its back. When I took the iPad to the Apple Store, they immediately replaced it, even though the warranty had expired.

Today, I noticed the same problem with the replaced iPad and the other unit. That's 3 iPads that all had the same issue when charging on the Launchport. I have two other iPads not mounted and they have no problem.

I'm taking the two damaged iPads in to the Apple Store, but I'm concerned that the problem is with the Launchport inductive charging units mounted on the wall. Is there a better solution to replace the Launchports?
