Hello RONGGG,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you are not seeing your emoji's after installing the iOS 12.1 update on your iPad. I would first take a look and make sure that he emoji keyboard turned on. Take a look at this section from the following support article:

Don't see the emoji keyboard?

If you don't see the emoji keyboard, make sure that it's is turned on.

  1. Go to Settings > General and tap Keyboard.
  2. Tap Keyboards, then tap Add New Keyboard.
  3. Tap Emoji.
Use emoji on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Best regards.

RONGGG,

Thank you for the update. If that didn't work then the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your iPad. But before that, let's make sure your information is protected and get a current backup of your iPad. We shouldn't need it, but it is always a good idea.

Take a look at the following support article to make a current backup of your iPad:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once you have a current backup, you can take a look at the following article to reinstall your iOS. If you select "Update" at step 4, as recommended, it should proceed without erasing your data.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best regards.
