Anyone have any experience in handling iTunes download error 3244?

I'm trying to download an album previously purchased to my iTunes account on my MacBook Air. I've checked for updates on both iTunes and macOS Mojave and find that I'm up to date.

In trying to download this album, I receive the error 3244 for each song on the album. The album was previously downloaded to the computer, but I deleted it as it was duplicated. Now I'm not able to re-download it.

Any suggestions?

A number of other users have reported issues with iTunes content on FAT32/exFAT and macOS 10.14. Possibly fixed in 10.14.1 which is only just out. May also help those using NAS for their media folders.

Seems your response as to format of the drive may have been on point. I reconfigured my iTunes download folder to the hard drive (formatted as APFS) and was able to download the album. Appreciate the help

Is your media folder stored on an external drive? If so what format is that in? You may find updating Mojave helps.

Experiencing the same thing. Have my iTunes media folder saved to an SD card as my internal memory is not big enough. That SD card is formatted as ExFat, so it sounds like what @turingtest2 was saying could well be true.

Only I am running Mojave 10.14.1 and iTunes 12.9.0.164, so the most recent updates don't fix it.

Yes, a 128 GB SD card in exFAT format. I've used this card in this format to store my music for almost three years. Mojave is up to date.
