Mac Mini, Mojave 10.14.1, iTunes 12.9.0.164. Bought an album on iTunes and am getting an error message when I try to download it on my Mini. "There was a problem downloading [song]. An unknown error occurred (-3224)."
The album does appear on my iPhone. Any suggestions?

Thank you, problem solved. I purchased another external drive (formatted it correctly), copied the Media Folder off the Windows formatted drive, then reformatted that drive for Mac, and finally copied the Media Folder back onto it. Works perfectly now.

My media folder is stored on an external Samsung hard drive, using Microsoft NTFS. I'm using NTFS for Mac to manage it.
Where is your media folder stored, and in what file format? iTunes on Mojave seems to be a little picky preferring APFS or HFS+.

That would seem to be the problem then. If you were to copy the library to an HFS+ or APFS partition and access it there I'm sure it would be fine. See Make a split library portable for advice on moving iTunes libraries around.
