"Update Apple ID Settings"

After I activated 2 factor authentication. I got a notification on my settings app to update my Apple ID Settings on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. Through the process it waits from approval from other device that my iCloud is signed in on, but nothing happens. What should I do?

Problem with two factor authentification Signing in to my iCloud account with two factor authentification, I get the window informing me of the attempt to log in, I authorize that, I receive a code, but then no digit window in which to enter the code, either on my MacBook Pro or my iPhone. Result : identity can't be verified and I can't access my account. This is a recent situation. I've tried changing the password, but that didn't solve the issue. Is there any way I can alter things?

Two-Factor Authentication - hung on 'approve this iPhone/macbook message' Hi there! I've just set up Two-Factor Authentication via my Apple ID account and all was going well except now I'm stuck with a message in my iCloud system prefs that I need to update my Apple ID settings. When I try that I'm getting stuck on a spooling 'Approve this' message on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. I'm not getting any messages on my iPad to approve either of the two devices. Keychain is off on both. When I click on 'can't approve this iPhone' I'm getting the prompt to 'reset encrypted data', but ideally I don't want to lose anything. All help gratefully received!
